RIYADH: Saudi Arabia announced 12 deaths from COVID-19 and 1,257 new infections on Thursday.
Of the new cases, 319 were recorded in Riyadh, 277 in the Eastern Province, 252 in Makkah, 94 in Jazan, 93 in Asir, 59 in Madinah, 45 in Najran, 30 in Hail, 21 in Tabuk, 19 in Al-Baha, 18 in the Northern Borders region, and four in Al-Jouf.
The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom increased to 478,127 after 1,484 more patients recovered from the virus.
A total of 7,933 people have succumbed to the virus in the Kingdom so far.
Over 19 million doses of a coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the Kingdom to date.
